About Us
Change Makers is created by campaigns company, Seven Hills.
In response to a rapidly changing world – one increasingly shaped by new technology, political upheaval and unprecedented global challenges – founders Michael Hayman and Nick Giles see a new breed of leaders emerging. Leaders with an eye for innovation, characterised by a restlessness to see positive change. They call these leaders Change Makers.
The first Change Makers Summit took place in 2018 – a gathering of entrepreneurs, leaders, innovators, philanthropists and investors – all driven to make a difference. The podcast launched in 2020. But the seeds of Change Makers were sewn many years before.
The role of business as an activist is at the heart of Seven Hills. Launched in 2010, the company strives to work with mission-driven organisations and leaders – committed to using business as a force for good. From the technologists pushing the boundaries of AR, to the disruptors transforming financial services, and the campaigners creating life-changing movements.
The founders authored Mission: How the Best in Business Breakthrough, in 2015, which explored the rise of purpose-led companies. The book started the conversations that eventually led to the creation of Change Makers.
Following two successful Change Makers Summits in 2018 and 2019, the company was gearing up for its third in 2020. Then the pandemic happened. And a world that seemed to be changing fast, went into overdrive. It made the proposition of Change Makers even more pertinent – offering hope and ideas for the future, in a world forced to reset.
With events on hold, the series became a podcast and now, a platform – bringing together insights, interviews and inspiration for a changing world.
