Celebrating 100 episodes of Change Makers

1 October 2021

This week, we are thrilled to be celebrating the 100th episode of the Change Makers podcast.

Launched at the height of the first lockdown, the series was developed to provide inspiration, insights and ideas at a challenging time. Over the course of 18 months, 100 episodes and five collaborative partnerships, we have provided a tapestry of tales about the human experience and hopefully, provoked thoughts about the difference we can all make for the world.

An opening triple header with three of the UK’s premier business leaders – WANdisco founder David Richards, 30% club founder Baroness Morrissey, and CBI President and Cobra Beer founder Lord Bilimoria – reflected on the impact of lockdown and offered listeners life lessons from three entrepreneurs at the top of their game.

Since, we have continued to tell the stories of the best in British business, while showcasing the work of activists, authors, politicians and peacemakers. Central to our mission is to bring our listeners the people and businesses they know and those they do not; such as 24-year-old Indonesian entrepreneur Ara Kusuma, and Amos Bursary ambassadors Daniel Nurse and Richard Butler.

But for every episode whether household name or unsung hero, Change Makers has aimed to tell the stories you don’t know, to uncover more about our guests and provide insight not only into their careers, but their lives. Our ‘Lockdown Lists’ – asking interviewees to share the books that changed their life, the film and TV they are watching, the music they are listening to, their biggest inspirations and their tips for life – offer a view of the cultural touch-points that drive leaders to be their best.

We may be 100 episodes in, but there is still so much more to come from Change Makers. Whether it’s alongside our brilliant partners at the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Great British Brands, the University of London and Mr & Mrs Smith, or the fascinating leaders we speak to each week, we hope to continue telling the stories that matter.
